Dina Cannistraci

Dina, a longtime Westchester resident, holds a JD from George Washington Law School and a BA in Political Science from Boston University.

After a decade practicing law, Dina enjoyed some time as a stay-at-home mom and
local volunteer. In 2011, she transitioned to work in the nonprofit sector, focusing on
public health issues like childhood obesity, food security, and HIV. She spent over ten
years at FAN4Kids addressing the twin epidemics of childhood obesity and food
insecurity in roles spanning programs, development, and operations. In 2021, as a
Senior Consultant at Port Chester Carver Center, she helped relaunch food and
nutrition programs post-pandemic, emphasizing choice and reducing stigma. She later
served as Director of Global Operations at Prevention Access Campaign, overseeing
governance, finance, HR, and administration.

A dedicated advocate for Americans with food allergies, Dina is a founding board
member of Spreading Awareness of Food Allergies in Educational Settings. She enjoys
nature, hiking, yoga, and cooking and eating delicious, nutritious meals with her family.
