Our Services

Hundreds of local families and individuals live with the daily uncertainty of a “next meal”. The Mount Kisco Interfaith Food Pantry reaches out to the most vulnerable members of our community to ease the burden and pain of hunger. Our Pantry offers emergency assistance to any person in need who resides in a Northern Westchester community not already served by a weekly pantry.

Food:  Each week, the Pantry provides households free grocery staples - fresh produce, dairy, frozen meat/fish, non-perishable staples, fresh eggs and bread. From the first client served to the last, the Pantry works hard to provide the same quantity, quality, and variety of food to each person who comes to us for help.

Home Deliveries:  Pantry volunteers deliver groceries regularly each week to persons in need who have a documented physical or cognitive disability. Home delivery clients receive the same benefits as those who attend Pantry distributions, including registration for the federal assistance program SNAP. Presently, home deliveries are only provided to residents of the Town of Mount Kisco and Bedford Hills.

Snap Registrations: Partnering with The Food Bank for Westchester, the Pantry provides quarterly, on-site assistance with registration for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as Food Stamps). If a client is 60 or older, we can arrange for a Food Bank for Westchester representative to make an on-site visit to their home.

WIC Registrations: Working in collaboration with Open Door Family Medical Center of Ossining, the Pantry provides monthly, on-site pre-screenings for registration in the federal food aid program WIC (Women, Infants, and Children).

Education and Training: Partnering with the Food Bank for Westchester and Cornell Cooperative Extension, the Pantry offers regular, on-site lectures and demonstrations designed to support client health and well-being. Presentation topics include nutrition, meal planning, food budgeting and safe food handling. Food preparation demonstrations include recipes that make use of the current Pantry food offerings and encourage healthier eating choices.

Health: In partnership with Northern Westchester Hospital's Community Health, Education & Outreach Program (CHOP), the Pantry offers free, onsite cholesterol, blood sugar and blood pressure screenings, all of which reduce the risk of chronic diseases. Flu shots are also offered during the fall and winter.

The Pantry is located in the United Methodist Church of Mount Kisco, 300 East Main Street at the corner of Smith Avenue. Hours of distribution are Tuesdays, 5:00–7:00 PM and Wednesdays, 9:30–11:00 AM.
